Terms of sale
Last updated: 18 October 2026
These terms explain what happens when you order a print or a licence from this site: how an order is made, what you receive, and what each side may expect. We have tried to write them in plain language.
General
yaelrozen.com is the online catalogue of the photographer Yael Rozen, through which you can order prints from her archive and request licences to use her photographs. For anything at all: yaeltau@gmail.com, or WhatsApp +972 52 469 6669.
Using the site and sending an order means you accept these terms.
Copyright in the photographs
Every photograph on this site is Yael Rozen’s work, and all rights in it are hers. No photograph may be copied, reproduced, published, printed or used in any way — commercially or otherwise — without a written licence.
Buying a print buys one physical copy for personal use. It transfers no copyright, and does not allow photographing or scanning the print, or using the image in any publication, product or online.
Ordering a print
An order placed on the site is a request. You will receive a confirmation email, and Yael will come back to you with a full quote including shipping. The order is binding only once you have approved the quote and paid — until then you have been charged nothing.
Prices on the site are in Israeli shekels and include Israeli VAT for customers in Israel. For orders from outside Israel the price excludes Israeli VAT, and any duties, taxes or fees in the destination country are the customer’s and are collected by the courier.
Every print is produced to order, in the size and paper you chose, and carries Yael Rozen’s digital signature. Prints are open edition unless stated otherwise.
Delivery
The estimated production and delivery time appears on each photograph’s page, next to the chosen size. It is an estimate: it depends on the printing lab and the courier, and a reasonable delay is not grounds for cancellation. If an unusual delay is expected, we will tell you.
Cancellation, replacement and refund
- Before a print has been sent to production you may cancel any order, for any reason and at no cost, and be refunded in full. Write to us and we will act at once.
- Once a print is in production it is an item made especially for you, in the size and paper you chose, and so it cannot be cancelled for a refund — unless the print is faulty or does not match the order.
- If a print arrives faulty, is damaged in transit, or is not what was ordered — tell us within 14 days of receiving it and send a photograph of the problem. We will send a replacement at our expense, or refund you in full, as you prefer.
- A refund is made by the same means the order was paid, within 14 business days of our confirming the cancellation.
Nothing in this section limits rights you may have under the Israeli Consumer Protection Law, 1981 and its regulations, or under the consumer law of your own country.
Licensing a photograph
A licence request made through the site is not a licence. After the request you will receive a quote defining the permitted use, the medium, the territory and the term. The licence takes effect only once the quote is approved and paid, and it is personal and non-transferable.
Every publication of a photograph must carry the credit “© Yael Rozen” beside the image, unless agreed otherwise in writing.
How the photographs appear here
The photographs were shot on film between 1965 and 1999 and scanned from the original negatives and transparencies. Grain, scratches and marks of time are part of the photograph and of the archive, not a fault. Colour and tone may also look slightly different from one screen to another, and between screen and print.
Privacy
Information you give us in an order or a message is handled according to the site’s privacy policy, which has a page of its own.
Miscellaneous
These terms are governed by the law of the State of Israel, and the competent courts of the Tel Aviv district have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. If any clause is held invalid, the remaining clauses stay in force.
We may update these terms from time to time. The version that binds is the one published here when your order is sent, and the date at the top of the page shows when it was last changed. If a price or another detail contains an obvious mistake, we will tell you before going further, and you may cancel.
